An elderly man visiting the hot springs for the first time with his wife passes away from hydrogen sulfide poisoning. Detective Nakaoka (Tamaki Hiroshi), who is in charge of the investigation, suspects the wife of murdering her husband for insurance. After conducting an on-site inspection, geochemistry expert Aoe Shusuke (Sakurai Sho) posits that it is impossible to devise & execute such a murder plan because of the unstable atmospheric conditions outdoors. However, a few days later, a similar death by hydrogen sulfide poisoning occurs elsewhere. If the two deaths are actually serial murders, that would mean the culprit can accurately predict natural phenomena. During his investigation, Aoe meets Madoka (Hirose Suzu), a mysterious girl who seems to be able to foretell natural phenomena. She wants Aoes help finding a young man (Fukushi Sota) who holds the key to the secrets.
