Emi (Fukatsu Eri) is passionate about being a lawyer, but her clumsiness has caused her to mess up one case after another. Finally, her boss Hayami (Abe Hiroshi) issues her an ultimatum: Win the next case, or lose her job. Her latest client is a timid man accused of murdering his wife (Takeuchi Yuko), & the only person who can support his alibi is the ghost of Rokubei (Nishida Toshiyuki), a samurai whos been dead for over 400 years. Realizing that she, too, has the ability to see Rokubei, Emi decides to make Rokubei the defenses key witness. But how will Emi convince the rest of the world that the ghost of a samurai is a credible witness?
